Introduction
Awards for Training and Higher Education (ATHE) provides centres with qualifications in business and management, accounting, computing, law, health and social care. ATHE qualifications are approved as progression pathways to Bachelor’s degrees and Master’s top up degrees by a number of UK and international Universities, providing significant tertiary education opportunities for learners globally.

Course overview
The ATHE level 4 qualifications in healthcare management provide strategic management skills for those planning to or working in the healthcare sector both internationally and in the UK, including additional units that are specifically targeted at those working in the public and private sector. The ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management for Health and Social Care is (a minimum of) 120 credit Ofqual Regulated Qualification equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree.
The qualification in healthcare management have been developed to conform to the requirements of the RQF, to meet the requirements of the sector and to respond to the needs of the sector. We provide a flexible route for learners who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level and for learners who do not have healthcare management qualifications but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior management experience in the workplace.

Entry requirement
- Prior study in Healthcare Management or related subjects at level 3 or above
- A level 3 qualification for example an ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Management for Health and Social Care
- Other equivalent international qualifications
- Learners may also have relevant work experience.

Delivery mode
This course will be studied via blended learning, to enable you learn when and where you want. Assessment methods
This course will be graded with ‘Pass or Fail’. A range of assessment tools will be used, and this might include assessment through:
- A research activity resulting in the compilation of a report
- The compilation or evaluation of a case study
- A critical review and evaluation of a chosen company’s policies, procedures and systems
- A set project completed for an employer (also known as an ‘employer-engagement’ activity)
- The production of a portfolio of evidence relating to a particular unit
Certification and awarding body
Upon a successful completion of this Programme as stipulated by ATHE, you will be awarded the ATHE Level 4 in Healthcare Management. ATHE regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.

Upon a successful completion this course, you will gain an accredited qualification that will provide the pathway to enter the second year in several recognised Universities in the UK. You can progress to the following.
